Wise is one of the two playable protagonist Agents in Zenless Zone Zero, serving as the co-owner of Random Play video store alongside his younger sister Belle. Together, they operate as the legendary Proxy known as Phaethon, renowned throughout New Eridu for their unique guidance technology and exceptionally high commission success rate. Wise and Belle were former students of Helios Academy, an educational and research institution in Eridu's Minerva Quarter that was destroyed by Hollow Zero along with the rest of the Old Capital. Their teacher, Carole Arna, the Advanced Research Director at the Academy, implanted smart crystalline lenses into their eyes connected to their brains, allowing them to fully utilize the Hollow Deep Dive System and synchronize with their Bangboo Eous at the cost of greatly reduced Ether aptitude. Following the academy's destruction, Wise and Belle became Proxies to collect enough data to eventually investigate the ruins of Helios Academy and uncover the truth behind the disaster.
